South India Golden Triangle Tour

Destination Covered : Delhi - Sikandra - Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur - Bengaluru - Srirangapatnam - Mysore - Ooty - Coonoor - Ooty - Munnar - Alleppey - Cochin

Day 1 : Arrival at Delhi
You will be welcomed and greeted by our company representative at the Delhi Airport and then escorted to your pre-booked hotel. The tour itinerary will be briefed out to you. Rest of the day is at your discretion. Overnight halt in Delhi.

Day 2 : Delhi
Post breakfast, begin the day with the sightseeing of Old Delhi. Visit the Red Fort which had been an erstwhile residence of Mughal emperors. Now visit the Jama Mosque- one of the largest mosques in India. Enjoy the cycle rickshaw ride over the narrow lanes of Chandani Chowk bazaar which is densely populated. Head towards New Delhi and visit the old 73 metre high tower- Qutub Minar. Spend some time at Humayun’s Tomb which is inspired by Persian architecture. It was built by Humayun’s Wife. Drive past through the President’s House and Parliament House. Stop at the India Gate which is dedicated to the Indian Soldiers. At last, visit the Lotus Temple. Overnight halt in Delhi.

Day 3 : Delhi – Sikandra – Agra
In the morning, depart for Agra and enroute stop at Sikandra and visit the Tomb of Akbar who was the Mughal Emperor. The mausoleum was constructed by a blend of Muslim and Hindu style of architecture. Continue driving towards Agra and transfer to the hotel. Proceed to visit the Agra Fort which is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It houses some splendid buildings like Sheesh Mahal, Moti Masjid, Nagina Masjid,Diwan-i-Khas, Macchhi Bhawan, Diwan-e-Am and Meena Bazaar. Overnight halt in Agra.

Day 4 : Agra
Early in the morning, enjoy the sunrise at the Taj Mahal which is a symbol of love and built by Shah Jahan in the memory of his wife-Mumtaz. Return back to the hotel and after breakfast, visit the Tomb of Itmad ud daulah , also known as Baby Taj due to its resemblance with the great Taj Mahal. In the evening, spend some time at Mehtab Garden surrounded by the banks of Yamuna River. The beautiful shadow of the Taj Mahal can be witnessed over the lake. Overnight halt in Agra.

Day 5 : Agra– Fatehpur Sikri – Jaipur
After breakfast, depart for Jaipur. On the way, stop at Fatehpur Sikri – the Ghost Town. Admire its major attractions- Panch Mahal, Jodha Bai palace, Buland Darwaza,. Continue driving towards Jaipur and transfer to the hotel followed by an overnight stay.

Day 6 : Jaipur
In the morning, enjoy the ride on an elephant from the foot to the top of the hills of Amber Fort. The elephants are decorated with colorful clothes. Drive past the Jal Mahal which is submerged into the lake. It was built by Raja Man Singh. Another attraction is the City Palace of Jaipur which had been the former residence of the past rulers. Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal are the major parts of the palace complex. Visit the Jantar Mantar-one of the largest observatories. The last attraction is Hawa Mahal or Palace of Winds where 953 windows were built so that the royal women could witness the outside streets through these windows without being seen. Overnight halt in Jaipur.

Day 7 : Jaipur – Bengaluru
Board a flight to Bengaluru as per the scheduled departure. Upon arrival, get an assisted transfer to the pre-booked hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. The former name of Bengaluru is Bangalore. It is the city of gardens and an IT hub of India. Overnight halt in Bengaluru.

Day 8 : Bengaluru
Begin the sightseeing of Bengaluru and visit the ISKCON Temple which is dedicated to the Lord Krishna. Spend some time at Lal Bagh Botanical Garden which is well-known for the study of the plants and its conservation. It is the paradise for those who love greenery and natural beauty. Another attraction is Cubbon Park which is stretched over a large area and housing some government buildings, historical monuments, statues, flora and fauna. Visit the Bull temple which is locally known as Dodda Basavana Gudi. It contains a big statue of Nandi carved out of single piece of granite. At last, stop at Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum. Overnight halt in Bengaluru.

Day 9 : Bengaluru – Srirangapatnam – Mysore
Depart for Mysore and enroute stop at Srirangapatnam to visit the Ranganathaswamy temple- dedicated to the lord Ranganatha- form of lord Vishnu. Another attraction for bird lovers is Ranaganathittu Bird Sanctuary where you can enjoy the guided boat ride. Continue driving towards Mysore and transfer to the hotel. Mysore is the city of Palaces and famous for silk saares, sandalwood furniture and ivory carvings. After a short relaxation, visit the Brindavan Gardens which is designed beautifully with symmetry across the river Kaveri. Overnight halt in Mysore.

Day 10 : Mysore
Post breakfast, begin the sightseeing of Mysore. Visit the Palace of Maharaja which is one of the largest palaces in India. It was the residence of Wodeyar dynasty where Hindu and Saracenic style of architecture can be witnessed. Visit the old St. Philomena’s Cathedral built in 1936 by Neo Gothic style of architecture. At the top of the Chamund hills, pay a visit to the Chamundeshwari Temple where you can get the panoramic views of the city of Mysore. While returning back on the Chamunda Hills, visit the last attraction- Nandi Bull Temple. Overnight stay in Mysore.

Day 11 : Mysore – Ooty
After breakfast, depart for the hills station- Ooty ad transfer to the hotel. Get ready for the sightseeing of Ooty. Ooty is known as the Queen of the Hills. Visit the Botanical Garden which included a wide range of plants, shrubs, old trees and 20 million old fossil woods. Enjoy the boat ride and fishing at Ooty Lake, surrounded by lush green hills. Visit the Fernhills Royal Palace which had been the former residence of the Maharaja of Mysore. Visit the Doddabetta- highest peak on the Nilgiri hills. At last, spend some time at the Pine Forest. Overnight stay in Ooty.

Day 12 : Ooty – Coonoor – Ooty
In the morning, enjoy the toy train from Ooty to Coonoor passing through the tunnels and bridges. This ride offers scenic views of the mountains , rocky terrains, tea plantations and surroundings. On arrival, visit the Ketti valley – one of the biggest valleys in Asia. Spend some time at Sim’s park showcasing thousands of species of plants. Take the stunning pictures at the Lamb’s Rock and Dolphin’s Nose. Return back to Ooty by car followed by an overnight stay.

Day 13 : Ooty – Munnar
In the morning, leave for Munnar which is full of green hills and tree plantations. The city offers panoramic and picturesque views. The place is unpolluted and far from the population. The cool breeze passes through you and makes you feel pleasant. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight halt in Munnar.

Day 14 : Munnar
In the morning, visit the Pothamedu View Point which is popular for trekking and capturing beautiful pictures. Visit the Tea Factory and Museum and see the complete processing of Tea leaves. Spend some time at Devikulum Tea Plantation. Walk around the Blossom International Park and enjoy its scenic beauty full of exotic and lush green hills and plants. Experience the activities like roller skating, cycling and boating in the park. Visit the Mattupetty Dam which is nestled over the hills, used for storage of water. Enjoy the scenic beauty of the Kundala Dam Lake. The last attraction is the Echo Point. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 15 : Munnar – Alleppey
Leave for Alleppey and transfer to the House Boat amidst the backwaters. Experience the best while cruising through the backwaters. Enjoy full day at the boat and visit the local markets. A separate room with all the required amenities is offered to the guests. Relish the taste buds in the dinner prepared by the chef. Overnight on house boat.

Day 16 : Alleppy – Kochi
Head towards Kochi and transfer to the hotel. Visit the St. Francis Church which was built in 15th century. Pay a visit to the Matancherry Palace which is also known as Dutch Palace, housing the collection of Kerala murals and portraits. Visit the Kerala Folklore Museum exhibiting the artifacts and depicting the history of Kerala. Another spectacular attraction is Chinese Fishing Nets. In the evening, if time permits then watch the Kathakali dance performance which will amaze you by their costumes, makeup and face mask. Overnight stay in Cochin.

Day 17 : Departure
Board a Flight at Cochin Airport for your further journey taking sweet memories with you.
