Hathni or Hathuni Kund is located at a distance of 17 kilometers from the main city of Jaipur. According to the locals around this place, the name Hathni Kund derives from the local Rajasthani word which refers to one of the four directions. It is said that the origin of the River Dravyavati which flows through Jaipur city is Hathni Kund. It is believed that there was a big Dam built by Raja Sawai Madho Singh II.
