Rajasthan Travel – Travel in the Royal State of India

In my point of view, Rajasthan is the most fascinating and deserving travel destination in India. It is not because every third international tourist visiting Rajasthan also visits Rajasthan, the royal state of India, but it is because of my interests and my views of royal Rajasthan. It is a globally famous tourism destination in the country with historical monuments, religious monuments, magnificent forts & palaces, splendid havelis, imperial place & heritage hotels, exhilarating wildlife sanctuaries & national parks, colorful fairs & festivals, remarkable cities, and more over generous people and great Indian hospitality. Traveling in this royal state is a unique experience which leaves you spellbound as you explore its destinations and attractions more and more. Jaipur (the state capital also known as the Pink City of India), Udaipur (city of lakes – the White City), Jodhpur (the Blue City), Jaisalmer (the Golden City), etc are fabulous and worth visit cities in the state.

These cities are interconnected to take up a round trip in form of itinerary of a well designed Rajasthan travel package. The beautiful state of Rajasthan also connects to other popular tourist places of northern India like Agra, Varanasi and Khajuraho.

Jaipur is the capital city of the state famously known as the Pink City of India, because it is designed in pink colour. This beautiful city was set up by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. Today, it is one of the most colorful, beautiful and popular tourism destinations in the state and India. It mesmerizes the world with its attractions like fantastic forts, palatial palaces, terrific temples, gorgeous gardens, and colorful bazaars. Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Albert Hall, and Amber Fort are some of must visit attractions in the city.

Udaipur is perhaps the most beautiful city in the state, in my point of view, because I think everything about Udaipur is beautiful – like beautiful palaces, beautiful streets, beautiful temples, beautiful lakes, etc. Also known as the City of Lakes, it is one of the most romantic cities in India. It mesmerized tourists with attractions like Pichola Lake, City Palace, Lake Palace, Folk Art Museum, Jagdish Temple, Fateh Prakash Palace, Jag Mandir Palace, Udai Sagar Lake, Swaroop Sagar Lake, Fateh Sagar Lake, etc.

Jodhpur is the second largest city of Rajasthan situated on the edge of the Thar Desert – the Great Indian Desert. Jaswant Thada Cenotaph, Umaid Bhawan Palace, Sardar Market, Clock Tower, Mehrangarh Fort, Mandore Gardens, Balsamand Lake Palace, etc are featured attractions of Jodhpur city tours and travels. The city is also described as the Blue City. Today Jodhpur holds a prime position into an itinerary of a well-designed tour package to Rajasthan, India.

Jaisalmer, also known as the Golden City of India, is a wonderful tourist place you will love to your explore on your Rajasthan travel and tourism. Golden Fort, Jain Temples, merchant Havelis, sand dunes, camel safari, desert expedition, desert national park, etc are key attractions of Jaipur city tours and travels.

How a Cab Service Offers the Smoothest Ride to Your Destination

Technology has brought convenience literally into the palm of your hands and so it is with making reservations for ground transportation. Whether for a sightseeing cruise around the city or for travel to the airport.

You just need to login or make a phone call and you can have Car hire service available at your doorstep within no time. There are many cab companies offering such services but certain qualities set apart the classy operators from the run of the mill companies.

Mission Customer Satisfaction:

The customer has to only lean back in contentment and leave the rest to the uniformed chauffeur. A ship-shape cab, impeccably clean, with comfortable upholstery and cozy ambient temperature, makes the ride a memorable treasure for the customer.

Round the Clock Service:

Round the clock service to the destination of the customer’s choice is the hallmark of every elite taxi company. Whether it is in the peak afternoon sunshine, a cascading downpour or at the crack of dawn, customers are content in the knowledge that the taxi will draw up to their gate on schedule and ferry them safely to their destination. A lunchtime trip to a downtown restaurant, an afternoon at the race-course, or an after dark sojourn for a night out on the town, a taxi service will get you there and home in time and safely.

Fleet Range:

Top notch cab companies have access to a range of options (either company owned or driver owned) for customers – luxury cars, limousines, sedans, hatchbacks, sports utility vehicles (SUV), crossovers, sports cars, minivans and full-size vans. The customer demands and the cab company deliver the vehicle of his choice.

Customer relations are elevated to a higher plane when every requirement – be it personal transportation, group transportation, charters and events transportation,  Jaipur airport travel,  Jaipur local travel, out of town travel are available 24 hours a day on door to door basis under a single roof.

Some of the apps provide multiple services along with cab services like shopping, grocery, babysitting etc. This makes immense sense as one single provider is able to co-ordinate with several tasks of the customer.

A Good Journey:

Most importantly the cab service must assure safe journey under the stewardship of an experienced driver who holds a valid driving license with a car that has all the regulatory permissions and safety features. Drivers must be sensitized that there should be no violation of speed limits, jumping traffic signals, verbal duels with other drivers or risky man oeuvres. Camel Safari in Jaisalmer, India

Jaisalmer is a small town, with population just over 18 000 it’s easy to explore on foot. A day will be enough to see all of its tourist attractions like the magnificent Jaisalmer fort and the lovely Haveli’s. Yet the reason why to stay in this town longer is camel safaris. There are many tour operators who will gladly arrange a tour in the Thar Desert. The camel safaris are cheap a day in the desert will cost somewhere around 1500 Rs for one person. They are well arranged and the only duty you will have is to enjoy your safari.

A typical camel safari lasts two days; you leave on the morning and come back next day on the afternoon, although a longer trip can be arranged. The good thing is that most hotels will not charge you for the night on safari and that your big backpack can be left in the hotel for safe keeping. There are a couple of popular safari routes in the desert that lead through some villages.

Rajasthan tour operators will show you pictures from the safari with huge sand dunes, don’t be fooled though. The Thar Desert around Jaisalmer is anything, but big sand dunes. Mostly you will see very rocky surface with some vegetation in form of shrubs, cactuses and camel trees. There are sand dunes but they are nowhere as magnificent as the dunes shown in pictures. On the safari most likely you will meet some locals, but they are quite used to western tourists, as the routes are very touristy and most likely you will meet other groups from different tour operators. There are some locals who go around the desert selling Coke and Pepsi at the popular safari rest places.

The longer safaris are most likely to go off the beaten track. The sleeping and eating on the safari is very well organized. When I was on the camel safari there I really enjoyed the food that was cooked on open fire and sleeping on the sand dune under the sky. The guides or camel men as they are sometimes called all speak English and most definitely will take good care of you.

The camels are well kept. Though it gets kind of annoying at the end of the second day to sit and dangle on the camel’s back and people with sea sickness probably will have problems adjusting. In case you can’t take the ride of camel’s back any more, you are free to walk.

The two day camel safari might not be the adventure of your life, still it is a well spent time. You will get to know a little piece of rural India. The nature of the desert is amazingly beautiful and the camel safari itself is a very enjoyable and relaxing activity. It is particularly good when tired of all the monuments, forts and museums the only thing you want is to get away from it all, the camel safari Jaisalmer is a good chance to relax and to get an insight on another side of Indian culture and lifestyle.

Each floor has rows of very small windows and screens. It is said that royal women used to watch the street shows through these windows, which overlook the main street of old city of Jaipur. Its snarl of pillars and passages inside do not offer much attraction like its exterior. You can have a bird’s eye view of the city from top of this monument.
