Hathni or Hathuni Kund is located at a distance of 17 kilometers from the main city of Jaipur. Being the most popular spot for a monsoon trek, the waterfall and the green gloriousness of nature here attracts many locals to pay a visit to this ravishing site. Although, it is said that, the kings earlier, used this spot to hunt wild boars Jaipur Attractions.

According to the locals around this place, the name Hathni Kund derives from the local Rajasthani word which refers to one of the four directions. It is said that the origin of the River Dravyavati which flows through Jaipur city is Hathni Kund. It is believed that there was a big Dam built by Raja Sawai Madho Singh II. And the dam was shattered in the 1982 floods in Jaipur and hence the Hathni Kund came into existence Jaipur Tourism.
