Jaipur was built by Sawai Jai Singh II, a Rajput king who ruled from 1699 to 1744. Jaisalmer-
Jaisalmer’s ethereal sandstone Fort, which resembles a massive sandcastle rising from the desert, is the city’s focal point. Jaisalmer is also known for the fairytale architecture of its magnificent historichavelis (mansions), located both inside and out of the Fort. Pushkar –
An astonishing 30,000 camels converge on the tiny desert town of Pushkar, in India’s state of Rajasthan, for the annual Pushkar Fair. He then decided to name the place after the flower, and thus the name, Pushkar.

Mount abu-
The only hill station of Rajasthan, its cool atmosphere and lush green surroundings make it a major tourist spot within the state. The most important attraction, however, are undoubtedly the Dilwara temples, which is one of the most stunning piece of architecture in the country.  Aravalli Hills, where Mount Abu is situated, are of peculiar beauty that is difficult to understand if one has seen only the sand dunes of Jaisalmer in Rajasthan. Considered as the ‘oasis of the desert’ for being home to some rivers, lakes, waterfalls, etc, this hill destination is respite from the scalding heat of Rajasthan.

Abhaneri : Step Well

Abhaneri Step Well :-

Abhaneri is a small village with one of India’s deepest and largest step wells (also known as tank gardens). Step wells are unique to India. They were used as cool places of resort, as pools for ritual cleansing before a temple visit and as a water supply for dry weather. There is a temple adjoining the step well. Step wells had leisure, religious and, of course, functional purposes. They are distinguished predecessors of what are now called low-intensity, or sustainable, urban drainage systems (SUDS) Step wells have many names including: baoli, baudi, bawdi, bawri, baoli, bavadi, bavdi, hauz, vav, vaav, kalyani, pushkarani, barav.

There are several wonderful places near Jaipur that are truly amazing to witness and explore the art, culture and heritage of colorful state Rajasthan. History :-

Abhaneri is originally named as Abha Nagri that means City of Brightness. It was built by King Raja Chand  in 9TH century. It is popular for Chand Baori and Harshat Mata Temple. It is a legend that Goddess Harshat Mata shower brightness all over the village, so it is named Abha Nagri which is probably mispronounced as Abhaneri.

Highlights :-

The major attraction of Abhaneri is the Chand Baori. The massive stepwell built to conserve rainwater is 20 m deep with 13 levels, is considered deepest and largest stepwell in India. Marvelous carvings on the steps make it to be an excellent piece of architecture. The stepwell stands as an amazing display of ancient engineering. The geometric step pattern gives fascinating and surprising experience to the tourists.

Step Well

Another interesting site to visit is Harshat Mata Temple dedicated to Goddess Harshat Mata, the Goddess of Joy. The temple built in 10th century and is situated near the Chand Baori, reflects an incredible architectural aspects of ancient India. Abhaneri also known for its local dances like Ghoomer and Kalbelia is remarkable site worth visiting at least once.

The Beauty Of Udaipur : City Palace

City Palace Udaipur :- 

The majestic white City Palace located in the heart of Udaipur, was originally built by Maharana Udai Singh of the Sisodia Rajput clan and extended to its present form by subsequent Maharanas. Built in granite and marble and surrounded by crenellated fort walls, the largest palace complex in Rajasthan stands on a crest overlooking the Pichola Lake.

Maharana Uday Singh initiated in the construction of the palace but succeeding Maharanas added several palaces and structures to the complex retained a surprising uniformity to the design. The entry to the Palace is from the Hati Pol, the Elephant gate. The Bari Pol or the Big gate brings you to the Tripolia, the Triple gate.

It was once a custom that the Maharana would weigh under this gate in gold and silver, which was distributed to the populace. It is also now the main ticket office. Balconies, cupolas and towers surmount the palace to give a wonderful view of the lake.

Suraj Gokhada or the balcony of the sun is where the Maharana would grant public audiences mainly to boost the morale of the people in difficult times. The Mor Chawk is the peacock square and gains its name from the vivid blue mosaic in glass of a peacock that decorates its walls.

The main part of the palace is now preserved as a museum displaying a large and diverse array of artefacts. Down steps from the entrance is the armoury museum exhibiting a huge collection of protective gear, weapons including the lethal two-pronged sword.

The City Palace museum is then entered through the Ganesh Deori meaning the door of Lord Ganesh. This leads to the Rajya Angan, the royal courtyard that is the very spot where Maharana Udai Singh met the sage who told him to find a city here.

 

The rooms of the palace are superbly decorated with mirror tiles and paintings. Manak Mahal or the Ruby Palace has a lovely collection of glass and mirror work while Krishna Vilas display a rich collection of miniature paintings. Moti Mahal or the pearl palace has beautiful mirror work and the Chini Mahal has ornamental tiles all over.

The Surya Chopar or the sun square depicts a huge ornamental sun symbolising the sun dynasty to which the Mewar dynasty belongs. The Bari Mahal is a central garden with view of the city. Some more beautiful paintings can be seen in the Zanana Mahal or the ladies chamber, which leads to Lakshmi Chowk a beautiful white pavilion.

Ramdevra Temple: A Center of Peoples Faith

Shri Ramdev Temple in Ramdevra is a wonderful pilgrim centre which is exemplary of national unity and communal harmony as devotees of all religions accumulate here to pay their homage. The stately Shri Ramdev temple at Ramdevra, Runicha, 13 kms from Pokhran in Jaisalmer district, houses the shrine of Ramdev. The tomb of Shri Ramdev ji is worshipped here. This tomb or cenotaph is placed at the core of the temple campus. The head faces the northward direction while the feet are towards south. In this temple various tombs of the family members of Shri Ramdevji can also be found. As per the Hindu dharma the dead bodies that are cremated here are assigned to dust in a grave and a tomb is built to show respect. The uniqueness of Baba Ramdev Temple lies in the fact that people from both Hindu and Muslim faith come here to pay their respects to Saint Ramdevra. Hindus consider the Baba to be a reincarnation of Lard Krishna. For Muslims, he is a revered figure as the five Pirs from Mecca came to test his powers and went convinced of his divinity.

History of Shri Ramdev Temple :-

Shri Ramdev ji is believed to have been incarnated on earth for the welfare of humanity and was born in the houses of Ajmalji in the Tanwar Rajput family. He had some innate divine powers. Since childhood, he performed many miracles and won the hearts of the people. He is also believed to have killed a demon called Bhairav. Ramdevji chose Ramdevra as the place where he attained a Samadhi and went into a divine state of meditation. Nevertheless many people claim to have seen him on horse-back. The present cenotaph was constructed by Maharaja Shri Ganga Singh ji of Bikaner at Shri Ramdevra Runecha.

Fairs are held here twice a year when people flock to the temple and chant the glory of Ramsa Pir, so that their prayers may be answered. Many cultural events are also organized during this fair. Mainly two principal fairs are held in honor of the great sage. The first fair is held in the month of January and February and the second fair is held in the month of August and September. Thousands of devotes visit Ramdev Shri Ramdev Temple. People have great belief and faith in the temple.

Entry to the tomb has been allowed to all irrespective of caste and religion. Devotees offer sweets, coconuts, makhanas, misri and cloth made horse-image on the tomb. Inside Shri Ramdev Temple complex in Ramdevra there is a water tank also. Which is believed to have been constructed by Baba Ramdev.  A dip in that is considered to have a curative effect on skin diseases.  This Place Is well connected  from all the major city of Rajasthan by road and train .
