The Yamunotri Temple opens in the month of April/ May every year on the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya. Mandir committee and other concerned members will decide the date and announce it to public. The Yamunotri Temple closes on the day of Yama Dwitiya, the second day after Diwali. Generally, the closing date falls in the month of October/ November.
