Jwala Devi Temple
JwalaJi Temple is dedicated to Jwala Devi (Goddess), one of the forms of Maa Durga. The temple is about 9 km west of Mussoorie and is situated on the top of Benog Hill, at about 2,240 metres, surrounded with lush green forest cover. An old stone idol of Devi Jwala is housed in a small white temple structure. It is believed that the goddess blesses and grants the wishes of her devotees.
To reach the sanctified home of Jwala ji, one has to trek for 2 km. After an easy and exciting journey, arriving at the portals of the temple would astonish the visitor with the panoramic views of the Shivalik Range of mountains, Yamuna River, Doon Valley and Mussoorie. The combination of religious sentiments with the tranquillity and beauty of a place is truly incredible.

Jwala Devi Temple is a sacred shrine and is visited by the devotees on a daily basis. The locals, as well as tourists, arrive at this shrine and make their offerings. Though it can be visited throughout the year, the best time for going at Jwala Devi Temple is regarded during October-February. According to the Hindu calendar, October-November is the time when the festival of Navratri is celebrated in the full swing.

Jwala Devi Temple is located about 8 kilometers away from Mussoorie city. In order to reach the temple, one has to trek from Clouds End Mussoorie for about 2 kilometers.
