Tiffin Top, Nainital

Tiffin Top. It is very famous among places to visit in Nainital. On the edge of 7520 ft (2290 meters) on top Ayarpatta region. It is also called Dorothy's seat. Dorothy's Seat was constructed by British Army Officer Col J.P. Kellett in the memories of his wife Dorothy Kellett whom he lost in a terrible plane crash along with his 4 children. They were hidden in the Red Sea in 1936.

Nanda Devi East also has another name, one that of a younger sister of Nanda Devi, Goddess Sunanda.

The Tiffin Top is alternately called Dorothy’s seat. Mrs. Dorothy Kellet was the wife of a British Army Officer, Col J.P. Kellet. Col Kellet built this stone bench in memory of his wife who was killed in a plane crash when she had gone to see their children. This hilltop resembles the love and dedication of a husband towards his wife.
