Rajiv Gandhi Regional Museum
The Rajiv Gandhi Regional Museum of Natural History ,Ranthambore , Sawai Madhopur is a fourth museum of the India. This museum had been inaugurated by state Finance Minister Mr. Namo Narayan Meena on Saturday March 01, 2014 at Ramsingh Pura , Ranthambhore Road ,sawai Madhopur. The Foundation stone of museum was laid by the honorable Vice President of India, Hamid Ansari on December 23, 2007, which was undertaken by the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India.
The museum is situated in Ramsinghpura, which is a village at a distance of 9 kms from Sawai Madhopur. The honourable Vice President of India, Hamid Ansari laid the foundation of Rajiv Gandhi Regional Museum of Natural History in December 2007. Undertaken by the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India, the museum is reckoned to emerge as a vital centre for environmental education and creation of public awareness on conservation of nature and natural resources in the country.
