Prem Mandir, Vrindavan
Prem Mandir is a temple located in Raman Reti Road Vrindavan and its about 5 kilometers from Mathura, Uttar Pradesh (a state in India). Prem Mandir was built by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj in Mathura and the foundation stone was laid by him in the year 2001. Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj was the fifth Jagadgurur and was known for being a huge follower of Lord Krishna.
The Prem Mandir temple campus is huge and spread across in acres of land with eye catching statues and large scale monuments coupled with lush green garden and flowers, keep Visitors in awesome company. Prem Mandir is not only so beautiful but the values of depicted and maintaining the essence of Love propagated by Lord Krishna too amazing. The Idols in the main temple are adorable and that’s a sight and treat to eyes.
The foundation stone was laid in front of thousands of Lord Krishna and Lord Rama devotees as the first floor of the temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and Radha, and the second floor of the temple is dedicated to Lord Rama and Sita. The story of Lord Rama and Sita and the story of Lord Krishna and Radha are carved into the stone in the temple where the tourists will be able to glance at the lives of the gods and goddesses.
More than 1000 artists were involved in designing the Prem Mandir structure and it took 12 years to complete the structure of the temple. The structure of the temple is completely built with Italian marble and was built according to the Rajasthani, Somnath, and Gujarati architecture. All these architecture styles are known for being unique and showcase the royalty of the structure. This temple and the vicinity are being maintained by the Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat International NPO, which is an educational, spiritual, and charitable trust.
It is recommended that tourists visit during night to see the lovely campus and fountain show. Prem Mandir gates was closed at 8:30 PM, so plan accordingly, if you planning to visit during night. A must visit place, if you are in and around the Vrindavan! Must go and indulge in Spiritual love.
History of Prem Mandir - Shyama Shyam Dham Vrindavan
The foundation stone of the Prem Mandir was laid by the fifth Jagadguru Shri Kripalu ji Maharaj in the year 2001 and the construction was completed in 2012. Dedicated to Shri Vrindavan Dham, it was opened to the public in February 2012. It is one of the youngest and most astonishing temples of Vrindavan.
Architecture of Prem Mandir - Shyama Shyam Dham Vrindavan
Located in the outskirts of Vrindavan, Prem Mandir represents the revival of ancient Indian art and Nagara architecture emphasizing Rajasthani and Gujrati styles. Built with Italian White marble, it covers an area over 54 acres. The entire structure rises upto a height of 125 feet and spread over 115 feet along the width.
You will be amazed with the intricately carved doors and windows of the temple. Floors and the walls are also etched with floral motifs, embedded with semi precious stones. Elaborate engravings adorning the Sanctum Santorum and ceilings would leave you awestruck.
The first floor of the temple enshrines idols of Shri Radha Krishna (Radhe-Krishna) while the first floor is dedicated to Janaknandini Shri Sita ji and Dashrath Nandan Shri Ram ji (Siya-Ram).
