Jodha Bai Ka Rauza ( Jodha Bai’s Palace ) is one of the largest buildings inside the Sikri Fort. Jodha Bai was a Rajput princess and the most beloved wife of the emperor Akbar. The construction of Jodha Bai Ka Rauza in Agra shows the love of Akbar towards Jodha Bai.
Akbar after conquering Malwa faced very strong resistance from the Rajputs. Akbar who chose diplomacy over confrontation formed alliances with the Rajput kings, which allowed the kings to rule their lands while supporting Akbar. To make the alliances stronger, Akbar married the various Rajput princess. Jodha Bai who was the sister of Man Singh, the powerful king of Jaipur also got married to Akbar.
