Mt. Abu being Rajasthan’s only hill station was the perfect summer residence for many Royal families who holidayed there to escape the severe heat that engulfed the desert region during the summer months. Bikaner House was the summer residence of the Royal Family of Bikaner built by Maharaja Ganga Singhji of Bikaner in 1893. The Palace Hotel as it is now called, was converted into a hotel in 1962 and is today a classified ‘Heritage Hotel’.
Facilities
There are two tennis courts in a marvelous hillside setting. Along with tennis, on offer are billiards, table tennis and a selection of board games. There is a large conference hall with requisite facilities which can accommodate upto 150 delegates. Corporate houses send their teams to the property, as the peaceful environment proves most beneficial to productive ideas to help businesses grow.
