Puppet Show in Jaisalmer

Puppet shows were organized every year in my school by visiting artists and it was always a fun time, but I take time to wake up the child in me to enjoy some puppet show even now.

21 March is World Puppetry Day and time to recollect the fond memories from the Puppet Museum and Show in Jaisalmer last month.

The puppet show is hosted within the desert cultural museum in Jaisalmer. Besides that, there are puppets for sale and also a puppet-making workshop.

The show timings are 6 and 7 pm every evening.

At the end of the show that is conducted within the rectangular window seen in the background in the photo below, the artist comes on the stage and demonstrates the operation of the puppets and their string control to everyone.

I opted for a horse + puppet assembly workshop and also got to keep the puppet at the end of the exercise for just INR 400 as seen in the image at the top.
