Day 01 : Arrival at Delhi
Upon arrival at Delhi, meet India Tour Packages for assisted transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 02 : New Delhi - Haridwar (205 km /5-6 hrs)
Valley of Flower TourIn the morning, after breakfast drive to Haridwar. Lunch is scheduled enroute. Upon arrival at Haridwar, transfer to the hotel. Haridwar is a sacred Hindu pilgrimage famous as gateway of gushing River Ganges to the Indo Gangetic plains for the first time after completing its course of 253 km through the mountainous terrain. This is one of the seven holiest places to Hindus and holds a great importance for Moksha seekers. Take in the rich rituals and traditional fervour of Haridwar. In the evening, visit “Har Ki Pauri” for Aarti rituals where River Ganges is worshipped as a lifeline and a goddess. This forms a captivating sight wherein the Ganges beholds thousands of burning lamps in flower votives. The Aarti forms the prominent highlight of visiting Haridwar besides its other attractions of temples. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 03 : Haridwar - Joshimath (245 kms/8-9 hrs)
Valley of Flower ToursAfter an early breakfast, drive to Joshimath via Devprayag. Set amidst the dramatic mountain landscape, Joshimath is a hill station and a prominent pilgrimage Ashram Matha or Monastery established by Adi Guru Shankaracharya in the 8th century. Enroute Joshimath, visit Devprayag, where two tributaries of Ganges, Bhagirathi and Alaknanda meet. This is the actual point where River Ganges starts its course of flow. Reach Joshimath by evening and check into the hotel upon arrival. Dinner & overnight stay is scheduled here. If time permits, visit the temples of Nav Durga and Narsingh here.
Day 04 : Joshimath - Govindghat (22 kms/1 hrs) - Ghangaria (14 kms/3-4 hrs)
Wake up early morning and drive to Govindghat after breakfast. This is the starting point of the famous Valley of Flowers trek.
From Govindghat, there is a gradual ascent along a well maintained pilgrim trail to Ghangaria. This is the actual point of beginning the Valley of Flowers Trek. Upon reaching Ghangria; check into hotel for overnight stay. Evening is free to soak in the beauty and alpine bounty of the valley. Dinner and overnight in Ghangaria.
Day 05 : Ghangaria - Valley Of Flowers - Ghangria (5 kms one side/4-5 hrs)
Valley of Flower Trip After breakfast, begin the most enchanting eco tourism experience of trekking through the world heritage site, Valley Of Flowers (3858 m) from Ghangaria. In its blooming season, the valley is described as nothing but a carpet of anemones, marigolds, roses, primulas, marinas, rhododendrons and other alpine flora. The impressive array of blooming wildflowers makes this trekking a bewitching sight for an eco tourist. But make sure you don’t disturb the eco heritage of the region and marvel at the bountiful nature in its best and pristine form. This is a good site for floral photography as well. The photographers’ heaven, this Valley of Flowers allows them to capture the misty dews on the wide array of wildflowers. After enjoying and cherishing the heartfelt beauty of valley, trek back to Ghangaria, the base point for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 06 : Hemkund - Ghanghria
After breakfast, begin another trek to Hemkund Sahib (4329 m) from Ghangaria for 21 km. This is a prominent Sikh pilgrimage site based on a snow-melt lake of Hemkund. This is the place where Sikh Guru Govind Singh meditated at a lake surrounded by seven high mountains. In the Sikh holy book, the Guru Granth Sahib, the reference to this pilgrimage site is enlisted. Hemkund, located on the very same site is a large gurudwara (Sikh temple), visited by millions of pilgrims every year. Later in the afternoon, trek back to Ghangaria for dinner & overnight stay.
Day 07 : Ghangaria - Govind Ghat - Joshimath
After breakfast, trek down to return from this enchanting eco tourism experience and bid farewell to the company of mountains of Uttarakhand and reach Govind Ghat. From here, driving assistance is provided for the day at Joshimath. Upon arrival here, check into the hotel. And rest of the day is free to explore the area or rest after the three days of regular trek. Option of visiting Auli, another hill town in scheduled in the evening. Dinner and overnight in Joshimath.
Day 08 : Joshimath - Haridwar
In the early morning, begin a drive to Haridwar with packed breakfast. On the drive tour, visit Rudraprayag, the point where river Mandakini and Alaknanda meet. Enjoy lunch enroute the drive to Haridwar and arrive here by evening. Check into the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 09 : Haridwar - Delhi
After an early breakfast, again visit Har ki Pauri and soak in the peace of the sanctified pilgrimage here. After lunch, drive to Delhi and transfer to the onward destination or airport to board the connecting flight.
