Bekal Beach, Kerala

Bekal Beach is located in the Bekal a small town in the Kasargod District of Kerala. The beach is located about 14 kms from Kasargod. It is a great tourist spot in this district. Palm trees swaying across the beach, peaceful and serene environment with the roar of sea waves attracts numerous tourist to this place. Its is an ideal place to swim as there are some calm water spot surrounded by Casuarina trees. Sidewalk on the untouched stretches of clear sand of bekal beach is memorable experience.

Bekal Fort is also located adjacent to the beach which adds beauty to this beech , this majestic historic fort offers fascinating view of the Arabian sea. One can feel the flow of wind standing here on the fort. Bekal fort is one of the largest forts in Kerala. It is a great picnic spot for localities here. Bekal Beach is a huge tourist attraction in the district due to this historic fort that adds beauty to this beach.This place also attracts many film makers dye to its serenity. Many movies have been shot here in the beach and fort. Both Bekal Beach and fort together gives a breathtaking view of this place during sunset.
