Mangalore is a well-known city located in the Indian state of Karnataka. Officially, this city is known by the name of Mangaluru. This city is named after the Hindu goddess Mangaladevi, the presiding deity in Mangala Devi Temple. Mangalore is the largest city in South Karnataka and is tagged as the hub of industries, healthcare and, education in the region.

The city of Mangalore is set along the shoreline of the Arabian Sea. With an elevation of 72 feet above the sea level, the city spans a gross area of 132 sq. km. The rivers like Netravati and Gurupura flow through the city and are a major source of the supply of water. The climate of the city of Mangalore is defined as tropical wet in nature. It usually faces humid summers with an average temperature of 38°C. The winter season decreases the humidity as the median mercury levels drop below 15°C. The monsoon season is another prime season that brings a heavy rainfall in the city.

Mangalore houses different places that should be visited. The prime destinations in the city are Pilikula Theme Park, Panambur Beach, Manjunatha Temple, Manasa Amusement Park, Adyar Waterfall, and much more.

Tannirbhavi beach - Tannirbhavi beach is a famous beach in Mangalore, Karnataka. It is one of the most popular and beautiful tourist destinations with tress in coastal Karnataka.

Kadri Manjunatheshwara Temple – In Kadri Manjunatheshwara Temple the location is overwhelming with the presence of the marvelous hillocks of the Kadri hills which has many caves cut into the hills and deity of the temple. The overall Kadri location is extremely spiritual, calm and beautiful. This temple belongs to the Tulunadu category in the Dakshina Kannada region.

Panambur beach - Panambur beach is close to the New Mangalore. This port is one of the most clean & fresh, loved, famous beach in the Mangalore city. The sea & sands and blue skies, getting a dash of color during April. In Panambur Beach hosts a beautiful kite festival.

St. Aloysius Chapel - St. Aloysius Chapel is a Catholic Church and it is a famous attraction in the Mangalore city which is top the Lighthouse Hill and right from the entrance it has regal look which is breathtaking. The wall paintings of St. Aloysius Chapel looks like stunning and attract the tourist or visitors in quite a large number.

Kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara Temple - Kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara Temple was built by Sri Narayana Guru which is belongs to the Billava Community. The famous Mangalore Dasara is organized in the Kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara Temple which is celebrating with the Lord Sharada Devi by the Billava Community. Gokarnanatheshwara Temple is dedicated to lord Shiva.

Sultan battery - Sultan Battery also called as watchtower which was constructed by Tippu Sultan to keep a lookout for the enry of war ships into the Gurupur River. This Sultan Battery was made from black stones. This is one of the most beautiful place in the Mangalore city which attracts the tourists.

Pilikula Park and Golf Course - Pilikula Park is also caleed as Pond of Tigers. This park can keep everyone busy with a lake with boating facilities, a biological park, a sprawling golf course, an amusement park,a zoo, a heritage village, a science centre, and more.

Mangaladevi Temple - Mangaladevi Temple is famous and old temple which is dedicated to Lord Mangaladevi. Mangaladevi is a form of Goddess Durga or Goddess Shakti. By its ancient architectures temple draws tourists by visiting the city in large numbers. This Goddess Durga is most powerful and fulfils all the wishes which are asked with clean soul.
