Maravanthe is a village and a beach near Kundapura, Karnataka, India. Outlook travel considers it one of Karnataka's most beautiful beaches. it is about 115km from industrial hub Mangalore, 55 km from Udupi and 39 km from tourist town of Bhatkal. NH-66 (erstwhile NH-17) runs next to the beach and the Suparnika River flows on the other side of the road, creating a spectacular scenery that is considered the only one of its kind in India. The Suparnika River, which almost touches the Arabian Sea here, makes a U-turn and goes westward to join the sea after a journey of nearly more than 10 km (6.2 mi).

Maravanthe is a seaside town close to the temple town of Kollur and Kodachadri hills. On town’s west coast, NH17 sails on with Arabian Sea on one side and the Sauparnika River on the other. The Kodachadri Hills lies in the background. Trasi and Padukone village are the two popular villages located near Maravanthe. The town is 50 km north of Udupi and 110 km away from Mangalore city. It is at a distance of 450 km from the city of Bangalore, making itself as a popular destination to spend one’s weekend. The place is perfect for spending some private time with your beloved or to spend quite time with a family. There are many activities as well to do making it an interesting place to spend with your friends as well.

Some of the popular activities that one can do on his/her trip to Maravanthe are trekking, water based activities like snorkeling and scuba diving and explore the beauty of world inside water. One can also go for boat cruises on the Sowparnika River. Taking bath in the medicinal river and visiting various temple near by is also one of the popular activity amongst tourists.
