Gajner is a wildlife sanctuary with Gajner lake and Palace in the Bikaner district of Rajasthan. The Gajner sanctuary is extended into an area of 19.20 sq.km. This wildlife sanctuary was built for the protection Cheetahs in Rajasthan state. Bikaner comes under the desert region and it has a Natural lake with Gajner Palace. This Gajner Palace was built by the king of Bikaner, Maharaja Gaj Singh in 1787 as a hunting ground for royal families.
The Gajner Wildlife Sanctuary of Bikaner is situated about 32 kms away from Bikaner town. This place has a lot of historical importance. In the past, the Gajner Wildlife Sanctuary at Bikaner used to be a favorite site of hunting for Bikaner's Maharajah. It is here that the Maharajah has hunted a number of wild animals. According to my personal experience, the best time to visit Gajner Sanctuary is October to February, during the Rainy & Winter season. Because in Bikaner summers are too hot. This place is the best place for nature lovers, photographers, and also for true explorers.

By Airway : The nearest airport is Bikaner Civil Airport to reach Gajner sanctuary and it is about 23 km away from the sanctuary.
By Railway : Gajner is the nearest railway station to reach this sanctuary, it is about 4 km from the sanctuary. Another option is Bikaner Junction and it is about 37 km from Gajner Sanctuary.
By Roadway : Bikaner is connected with NH-11 and with state highways. Transportation at Bikaner is really good, Bus services are always available at any time near the bus station across the state.
